To make our dissertations stand out we were tasked to create a book using the content and the theme of our writing and create an interesting and academic typographic piece based on this.
My dissertation “Does Censorship Exist as a Tool of Progression or Oppression?” was around freedom of speech, it’s history and how it can affect the way we speak in different ways. I used the theme of newsprint due to its relevance to the topic and based the books typography and color scheme around this.

Due to the COVID-19 in the last year of university the restrictions meant that I wasn't able to physically make the book, however I created mock ups to show what it could have looked like.
